How do I make sure my VA is working the Hours they Say?

What you need to realize is that the Filipino Culture wants to do great work. They are a loyal, hard working respectful people and deserve that same respect.

There are numerous tools out there that we can utilize to help you manage your employees hours: Timeproof, google sheets, excel etc. However, I can’t stress this enough, empower them to do a great job. Manage them based on their output, not on how many hours you are working.

If you are hiring someone full time, 40 hours a week and you expect a 10/10 on the output, they can do it in 28 hours, do you care if the remaining 12 hours aren’t being utilized? You’re giving someone a great job, the ability to earn an income to support themselves and/or their family, and in return you get a piece of mind that the job is getting completed at the highest level.

What if you are paying someone for a part-time job of 20 hours a week. It is taking them 25 hours a week to get the tasks you put in front of them done. Their output is a 6/10. Do you care? Yes absolutely. You are wanting a 10/10.

So hire for the 10/10 output.
